Yo its me again!!!! Just released from HELL a few hours ago....
After the 1st book in, the NS life is completely different.. 180 degrees different... Sergeants are now treating recruits as DOGS instead of humans... On the tue night, my whole platoon has to hold in the pumping position while the 2nd LTD, which is our Platoon commander(PC) scolded us for fidigiting during the parade... Actually it is not the fidgiting part that he made us hold in pumping position.. Its just that he accumulate the stress in him and he unleash it at us all in 1 shot! His eyes were red after scolding us and we wondered if he cried while he scolded us... The punishment eats into our sleeping time and in the end all of us only have 4 1/2 hours of sleep...
We tot that the next day would be better but it seemed that it turned out worse... Early in the morning, we are pumped for nothing... The sergeant said:' Y u all never greet me?' This is totally wtf la.. The previous night our sir told us he doesnt care whether we greet our commanders or not and early in the morning we tio pumped for all this kind of shit...
All the nice sergeants are going to be transffered out to leopard company in sch 2... So if u happen to be in this company, it will really be like a chalet for u coz the sergeants are basically not fierce at all! And my Indian sergeant a but kee siao... When he happy that time he can tell joke and joke abt u, then all of a sudden, he kena mood swing, then he started pumping us...
We drew our rifle on tue and during the sending in of arms at night, one person forgot to pull off the trigger and he tio confine for 1 day... wtf! A little mistake here and there they start to pump us already.. It would be worse if they ask u to run in front of the parade sq and ask u to hold on to the wall and shout 'the wall is falling' in 4 languages in front of the whole tekong... Then today during bookout he said more shit will come during the next book in...
For guys, pls guard ur rifle properly or u will be send to the military jail straight... Nv let ur sergrants steal ur rifle.. Lock it in ur cupboard when not using it and nv be 1 m away from ur rifle unguarded coz it is a chargable offence.. And the sentence would be to go to military jail.. Nv point ur rifle at ur friend, mustnt break rifle and pls dont anyhow play with the rifle coz all these will get u into serious trouble and it is not just a matter of going into jail anymore but something more serious..
If u r sick and u wan to see a doc inside a camp, u will have to wait for 3 hours... In the end all of us will end up with the same kind of medicine and i got 7 packet of medicine for just cough, sinus and sore throat... WTF! But it is the only place where u can watch tv legally... So its up to u to decide whether the 3 hrs is good or bad.. Ok think i better go to sleep coz the stupid army wan us to be at the discovery centre early in the morning... bloody hell!!!! Cya!

well i m just released from NS!!!!!!!!! Yeah so happy tt i m back home again!
NS is actually not vv scary but it is boring... every single day u do the same thing over and over again until it make u puke... Luckily the 1st 2 weeks of NS there will be no punishments for us... well not too sure for the direct enlist BMT batch XD... The sgt now can only scold us like mad but cant really pump us unless the encik(Company Sergeant Major- CSM) decided to... Good luck for those who kena chinese encik... The chinese officer there are quite 'kum lan' and 'xia lan'... It is the malay officers and the indian sergeants in the Mohawk company that are good... not too sure abt the rest though... Oh ya Zw and me are in the same company but different platoon... Sad but then we still see each other everyday!!!!! =)
The scariest thing that could happen now is the water parade. Every morning, u will be PUMPED @ least 750 ml of water b4 breakfast for some stupid light warm up and then another 750ml of water 1 hr later during the 1st parade... Even for a short shuttle run or swim for 1 lap, u have to drink up 1.5 litres of water that is 1 b4 the run/swim n 1 after... T.T.. There will be @ least 5 water parade in a single day that will make u puke...
Every single day is a rainy day in tekong... and everyday there will be either CAT 1(raining + thunder) or CAT 2( heavy rain)... training schedules are being messed up and pushed back... looks like we are going to suffer for the next few weeks due to our super behind time schedule..
Always greet the commanders properly... My sgts dont like to be called sir becoz they ALWAYS say 'we sergeants have our own pride! We take pride in coming out from SISSPEC( sch of infantry specialist)!' And nv call a sir sergeant unless u wan to invite trouble... call the CSM by sergeant major or encik n nothing else unless u wan to invite trouble again... Well just becareful coz some sgts r vv kpkb n i just tooked his name down today... so ya just take down the name of the commanders and u can lodge a complain if u wan if he disrespects u or do something to u that is unjust, ie if he is not ur platoon sergeant or ur company sergeant and he come and kp u, just go complain... actions will be taken against him...
For those enlisting in Jan, pls go prepare some more items like elastic cord garters, boots insole, shaver, tooth brush and paste and zip lock bag... couldnt remember much on wad to bring but all these items are frequently missing esp the garters... So be careful... No MP3, cam phones and another electronic device capable of image and voice recording can be brought into the camp unless u wan to become 'marksman' on the 1st day...
My bunk mates are really vv nice pple but not the whole platoon... Some think tt they are from NCC means that they are the big shot in the platoon.. Sometimes i feel like fking the person up and down and inside out but then after i thought of the consequences ie jail, i decided to bear with him until the ORD day... Where my bunk mates will 'play' a 'mini game' with him... LOL... Seriously, i dun like some noob ordering me around when they themselves are oso noob in the camp... It is impt to make friends inside esp ur section/bunk mates coz they will be the one sticking with u and going thru thick and thin with u in the BMT...
Well it is really sian to book in again tmr and dont forget to plan outing from dec 29 till jan 2 coz we will be having a holiday during these periods!!! So cya next time! BYE!!!

ok la i havent ever really blogged here except as news vendor so here i am... but pardon me i'll blog abt sth stupid but anw since i did this recently, so waddeheck.
War Against Cockroaches
cockroaches suck. they're slimy icky pickly disgusting dirty irritating 2-inch-long n they're brown like as if they just visited some shit. n they freaking FLY. so next time u encounter one b ready, b prepared, arm urself n wage the bloody war on it
Phase 1: Advance
i went into the room with Shieldtox in one hand for long-range attack n my primary melee weapon a rolled up Home section frm the ST. i saw the thing on the wall heading for the corner...
Phase2: Attack n bo pian must win
using relative velocity launched a long range Poison attack. then the cockroach HP decrease alot, alertness decrease alot, but agility increase like mad. it started flying around aimlessly. nt attracted towards light sources though... so my chance comes. observe the cockroach, predict it, understand it, believe in it... in tt split second, use Melee attack (if u play squash before better) n slam it against the wall.
but u can upgrade ur melee weapon to Electric Racquet, i think u can get it for 5 frm the market. just hold the button n u can use it as attack or defence. my battery ammo ran out so no choice must use primitive tools like ST.
Phase 3: Taunt
add insult to injury. pick up the cockroach with tissue/ER, chuck it in the toiletbowl then laugh at it n pee on it... then one final "Au'voir!" then flush it down. for gals peeing as a taunt must be careful in case of Instant Revenge.
phase 4 (optional): Takedown
go seek out the enemy's base... find out the cockroach eggs and Annihilate.
that is all... rmb one thing: since they'll die, give them hell before they do!

2)Mrs Gay...for being the only subject teacher who turned up for our bbq...and of course for being a loving and responsible Biology teacher
3)Yuezhi...for bringing the mahjong set(otherwise so many of you would've been totally stoning like statues...you ppl know who you are=P)...for being the housekeeper and helping us make breakfast=)...plus cutting cheese cake to deliver to every room cos ppl were doing their own stuff like being involved in a HEATED BATTLE of monopoly X)
4)Patrick...for being the houskeeper along with Yuezhi and also helping to make our breakfast

Sleepless nightszzz....
Came across this article at http://www.livescience.com/humanbiology/060323_sleep_tips.html so i thought it would be nice to share. Here is the remedy if u are having sleepless nights:
Do not take sleeping pills. This includes over-the-counter pills and melatonin.
Don't go to bed until you're sleepy. If you have trouble sleeping, try going to bed later or getting up earlier.
Get up at the same time every morning, even after a bad night's sleep. The next night, you'll be sleepy at bedtime.
If you wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back to sleep, get out of bed and return only when you are sleepy.
Avoid worrying, watching TV, reading scary books, and doing other things in bed besides sleeping and sex. If you worry, read thrillers or watch TV, do that in a chair that's not in the bedroom.
Do not drink or eat anything caffeinated within six hours of bedtime.
Avoid alcohol. It's relaxing at first but can lead to insomnia when it clears your system.
**Spend time outdoors. People exposed to daylight or bright light therapy sleep better.
I think the last 1 would be most suitable for active pple like us!

photos
i hav uploaded the photos on picture trail.. maybe the blogmaster can create a link for picture trail..
haha yea yesterday was damn damn fun.It was really an even mix of good and bad weather haha but its still damn fun...nvm the swollen limbs incurred from volleyball...we had fun running into other ppl's courts to pick up our balls and help others pick their balls when their balls dropped and rolled into our courts didn't we?(that sounded abit...ahem...)...haha yea
The funniest part was burying our youngest member of the class into the sand and turning him into a mutated obscene sandman monster and catching the attention of the whole beach!ooo darren you're gonna be so famous!XD
Then had to bathe in the open there cos the sheltered cubicles were full....can you imagine all the birds, insects and other guys watching....ewww...then when Patrick,RongTeng and i were almost done one bunch of VJ guys came over and started doing wad we did lol.I know they're from VJ cos one of them was my CCA friend in VS!lol then that friend asked me "How's your class? The girls pretty anot?" Guess what did i sayXD
Just last year June i was celebrating birthday for a friend of mine....I saw the way he opened the present wrapper with so much care and gentleness to maintain the wrapper i asked him to stop wasting time and just tear the wrapper up into shreds. But he didn't listen.Yea and to think last night i actually had to do wad he did...haha luckily rT told me or sentences would have turned into words and words into letters and letters into mere strokes.XD Thnx alot for the present,it fits nicely.I read everything.Thanks.=)

extracted from somewhere..
this is a letter written by someone's mom to that someone... so here goes
My dear Jagjit,
> I am in a well here and hoping you are also in a well there. I'm
> writing this letter slowly, because I know you cannot read fast. We
> are not living where we did when you left home. Your dad read in the
> newspaper that most accidents happen 20 miles from home, so we moved
20 miles.
>
> I am not able to send the address, as the last Sardar who stayed here
> took the house numbers with them for their new house so they would not
> have to change their address. Hopefully by next week we will be able
> to take our earlier address plate here, and that our address will remain same too.
>
> This place is really nice. It even has a washing machine, situated
> right above the toilet. But I'm not sure it works too well. Last week
> I put in 3 shirts, pulled the
chain, and haven't seen them since.
>
> The weather here isn't too bad. It rained only twice last week. The
> first time it rained for 3 days and second time for 4 days.
>
> The coat you wanted me to send you, your Aunt said it would be a
> little too heavy to send in the mail with all the metal buttons, so we
> cut them off and put them in the pocket.
>
> Your father has another job. He has 500 men under him. He is cutting
> the grass at the cemetery.
>
> By the way, I took Bahu to our club's poolside. The manager is
> Badmash. He told her that two piece swimming suit is not allowed in
his club.
> We were confused as to which piece we should remove?

this is a letter written by someone's mom to that someone... so here goes
My dear Jagjit,
> I am in a well here and hoping you are also in a well there. I'm

Yo dudes.
Know today's paper was total crap shyt. but nvm! studies aint everything in the world.
here's a list of wad U can do to survive w/o qualifications, or good ones at least.
1) Buy toto and hope to strike $1000000
2) Go rob a bank
3) Sell drugs
4) Sell pirated VCD
5) Go NIE hoping to get a teaching job
6) Borrow $$ from loanshark to buy toto
7) Go look for some rich guy/gal and marry him/her; aft tt divorce and get 1/2 the assets
8) Go be chicken/duck.
9) [For guys only] Go sell sperm to sperm bank
10) Go con some elder
11) Work at the reception desk at CGH/SGH/TTSH etc.
12) Go borrow from Bryan $$, den when u dun pay up, he'll go ur hse and "Splash" paint on ur door, but knowing him as AEP, he's a perfectionist. So the paint splash on ur door will end up like some cool cool door design.
SEEEEE.... it aint the end of the world yet! SO MANY ALTERNATIVES! dun give up! ;)

funny quote
haha ok i was reading the papers just now when i came across this segment with some quotes from ex-US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.....I found this particular quote damn funny so i decided to put it here
In FEB 12,2002 he said:
"Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me,because we know, there are known knowns. There are things we know we know.We also know there are known unknwons. That is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns-the ones we don't know we don't know..."
Haha i dunno about you guys but i find that that paragraph he said was totally LOL! ok time for princess hours

hahha tis entry was quoted from my blog..
'change' is a powerful thing. a tool. a weapon.
many pple cannot adapt to it, while others do. many undergone that and smile. while others frown. so should we embrace that? i dono. how about you deciding it for urself? =)
watched the matrix revolutions yesterday. there was tis conversation between Neo and Trinity that impacted me dearly. n so here it goes..
Trinity: Neo, do you know wat have changed over the past 8 hours?
Neo: No.
Trinity: Nothing, nothing has changed.
after which they kissed. (haha tis isnt important though)
i've reflected upon tis, while i lay in bed awaiting my drowsiness to get the better of me and i asked myself this qn. have anything changed over the past 2 years? and yes, i have to say that it is indeed the 'past 2 years' because it really was a significant part of my life. JC! ok now im ready to answer that question. the answer is yes. my attitude towards life, mentality towards life, and in fact my life itself have changed. for the better? yes i hope so.
first, friendship. why is this important. lets all put aside our academic life for a moment and tink about it for a moment. can u survive w/out friends. yes? nah. to those who might tink that way, friends are important, as important as how much we value water as a resource. they provide support, when you're down, or up or watever. they cheer you up and make ur life colourful (if it was colourful from the start, they add more colours to it(: ). they share weal and woe, and even though they are not omnipresent, they are there and i know it (unless there are backstabbers ard which i seriously hate it). tis past 2 years thus changed me. i've known many many new pple, especially my class, and found frens who i've lost contact wif. its wonderful.
secondly, mentality. have it change? yes it did as well. shld we sink into despair whnever you're down. shld u weep like who-knows-wat if u fail your exams or foiled relationships. i've learnt lots the past years, when to be happy and when not. in fact, being happy owas is wat it should be. why bother to let unhappy stuffs affect you? to everyone out there who's feeling sad, SMILE :)
thirdly, attitudes. it may be attitudes towards life, ur frens or even the way you look at a stinking toilet bowl. sounds similar to mentality? slight difference there. i've thought over tis as well. basically mentality involves wats deep in your mind, ur innermost thoughts while attitudes would mean the way you carry out wat is in ur mind. my attitude towards life changed as well. especially after the trip to thailand earlier this year. it set me pondering.. why are we studying so much. and i can affirm you that everyone out there are studying FOR THE SAKE OF STUDYING! that sucks but wat can we do. jus look at the kids at 'the land of a thousand smiles', they are genuinely smiling whereas our singaporean counterparts are instead frowning. the direct opposite for an eight-year old kid. wat's this? hmmm one word, 'stupid'.
lastly, my life. have my life changed? YES IT DID! had really been through trails and tribulations. for those who know me, u've seen me smile and frown, or even on the verge of breaking down, over various issues which there is no nid to mention. my happy with my life at the moment. its great and im laughing everyday. its a gd thing after all, comparing that to one who doesnt laugh at all. its ..' constipating'. i dare say i've experienced loads the past 2 years yet agn. the ups and downs, being though rain and shine. all tis seriously dealt me deeply as i traced back the things that have happened. as many have told me, my life is an 'interesting' one. and its still up to me to decide on whether to accept that or not, which i did. therefore it still boils down to attitudes and mentalities. its important.
as to wat Trinity said to Neo, thats different. embrace changes and live a better, more fulfilling life. cya soon;)
study hard,

The Banquet. hmmm sounds damn familiar. enlighten me someday yea?
hmm indeed the blog seems to be dying away yet again. perhaps, its jus the ever so irritating exams which never fails to break the flow of wat seems like a smooth waterfall. reminiscent of a gigantic rock placed in the middle of the cascade. argh
mayb i shld jus post wat happened during the day tats funny.
so. my funniest moment today will be:
we were talking abt some wooden construction kit which i've done during the weekend and ...
me: we shld jus get a barbie doll, den we could help 'her' change 'her' clothes.
bryan: i would jus change the clothes and leave it there. (hmmm)
hahahahahaha.

The Banquet夜宴
haha ok this blog looks like its inching towards extinction once again so here i am posting...ya i know after reading you'd feel this kinda post should be put in my personal blog....but my personal blog's a sad disaster that i dun wanna talk about=)
Ok last night i was watching this dvd my Dad bought which obviously follows the title of this blog.Excellent show to depict the typical mass media values today which go againstour your moral values.Lust, power and violence with a lovely touch of sadism....its supposed to be some artistic film like <>...and hence it sux.
First of all the speech of the characters is jumbled in riddles and its a feat to be able to figure out what they say.Next the ppl walk so slowly you feel like giving them a kick in theass butt so that they reach the other end of the room at thrice the speed.
Then the two female actors were like uncovered and adhered to men at some point or other in the show...totally no reason...
Next some parts when the characters were fighting it was totally dancing -_-' Its like they were making the exact same synchronised moves that some how form a pattern when they were supposed to be opponents.
Plus blood spilled like nippon paint from almost every character at one point or other....desicated heads dropped off like tumbling rocks....and then there was this part they were beating up an old official to death...wow that was totally baseball man.The punishing soldiers had long sticks in their hand;they whacked the old man and "phew" he flew here and there...then of course there were soldiers everywhere to change his momentum or he would've continued his unfiorm motion in a straight line XD Fly here fly there spill like one gallon of blood then finally bye-bye le.
Haiz wad a disppointment man...classic example of advertisements hiding the truth...i mean it seriously looked quite nice on the advert that i saw on tv...lucky the dvd costed only $2+ XD

Graduation Day
Well today is our graduation day meaning that we are officially dismissed from sch!!!!!!!! It is the most memorable day for me as this is the last time that we the 05S01 are together as a full class having our last day of formal lesson in sch. Well it seems a sad but happy day for me sad becoz i will be missing my dear class, and happy becoz i can get out of this sch? I wonder when are we gonna to be together as a class again(besides chalet)............
Mrs Goh, our 'DEAREST' P, is leaving us for good.....(sorry for the sarcasm). It seems that tpjc has just passed its darkest hours(in terms of academic) and hopefully the new P can raise the reputation of the sch...
Well 14 days left for A lv, there is still time people, so dont give up yet! Do well as a class and next yr we shall see similing faces and tears of joy. Work hard, perservere on and may ur god bless u.....
(its time for sleeping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

And when we leave this year we wun be coming back
no more hanging out cuz we're on a different track
so if u got something that u need to say
u'd better say it right now cuz u dun have another day
cuz we're movin' on and we cant slow down
this memories are playing like a film without a sound...
yes... so true...
as we go on, we remember
all the times we, had to gether
and as our lives change, from what ever
we will still be, frens 4eva.
may this blog live to serve its purpose,
a purpose that we may all stil b linked one way or ano/r
so if we get the big jobs and we make the big money
when we look back now, will the joke stil be funny (tight pants)
will we still rmbr everything we learn in school (will we?)
still be trying to break every single rule (late for sch, untidy hair, draw strings...)
makes lots of sense ar?
will we tink abt tmr like we tink abt now
can we survive it our there, can we make it somehow
i guess i thot tt it wld never end
and suddenly its like we're women and men
will the past be a shadow tt'll follow us round
will these memories fade when i leave this town
i keep, keep thinkin that its not gdbye
keep on thinkin its a time to fly
yes... may we soar... reach... fly... sky high...
when we look back, we'll rmbr, that, life in sch, will oways be the swtest
despite all the complains, exams, test, and crap we go tru...
society's cruel... can we survive it out there?
wadever the case is, pls do rmbr, there's oways S01, whether we're stil singaporeans,
or americans, or volunteers in vietnam/cambodia, or lawyers, doctors, medics, insurance agents,
teachers, principals, business men... always do... s01...

"Graduation"
Yea today was really the last civics lesson we ever had....then T4 made some nice funny+touching videos based on the music "Lydia" and "Graduation" ...took damn long to get it set up...stupid school's really going to crumble to dust...the AV systems are especially screwed lol.... anw just realised Graduation's a nice song...heard it many times before...but its only meaningful when i heard it today...not sure how true the lyrics in the song can be though...haha especially for people like me who dun care XD
Ok after civics it was supposed to be GP....then the video had ended and Miss Tan was like standing in front as usual then saying "Well,I hope you all are ready for your A levels".We kinda expected lessons to continue as usual, but then she suddenly walked out at a normal pace with a tissue in her hand...yea what she was doing next is pretty obvious. Then after Miss Tan went MIA for like 20 min,we sent Patrick(who else? XD) to go check on things....then he also went MIA-_-' ok then the whole class decided to go check on things together.Haha we didn't see anything dramatic or what...just saw Miss Tan there saying she'll be back in class soon....so we went back to class and after a LONG while and lessons resumed as usual.
I'll just say what I would remember Miss Tan for would be the fact that she's always the teacher we could see beside us and not the one looking from above, get the drift?yea i know you do=)
So tomorrow is really the last day of official school...the last time we'll be standing together in the courtyard singing the national anthem....the last time we'll ever be bound by school rules....and the last time we'll ever have to see THAT person!(YEA!)
Nobody gives ashit hoot bout that person's farewell tomorrow... we were told today not to leave before that person's farewell and said the gates will be locked....if that person has really been doing her job great and been an inspiration for many... people will die to stay and bid her farewell....IF(i'm not making accusations...i said IF) she hasn't...then keeping our bodies will not keep our hearts...
ok time to play abit of pokemon cya!=)

the end is nearing yet far
its appallingly fast how time flies
how we crossed each others' paths as strangers
as acquaintances and 'hi-bye' friends
but we made it somehow
bonded together as one, and only one
despite us approaching our parting ways
when all but the end is nearing
all i can wish for is ever-lasting friendship
that will accompany us till our hairs turn grey
till we leave this wonderful yet cruel place
we're now living in a sick place
filled with sick people who deteriorate matters
look far ahead down the streets
a sheet of grey greets us with a foul odour
that gives us headaches and pains our eyes
stop burning my dear dearest friends
for its still not too late though much damage is already done
strive hard my friends
for the battle is only half-fought
uphold that spirit for next couple of months
and show others what we're made of
go S01!
its appallingly fast how time flies
how we crossed each others' paths as strangers
as acquaintances and 'hi-bye' friends
but we made it somehow
bonded together as one, and only one
despite us approaching our parting ways
when all but the end is nearing
all i can wish for is ever-lasting friendship
that will accompany us till our hairs turn grey
till we leave this wonderful yet cruel place
we're now living in a sick place
filled with sick people who deteriorate matters
look far ahead down the streets
a sheet of grey greets us with a foul odour
that gives us headaches and pains our eyes
stop burning my dear dearest friends
for its still not too late though much damage is already done
strive hard my friends
for the battle is only half-fought
uphold that spirit for next couple of months
and show others what we're made of
go S01!

RESURRECTION
ok this blog has been dead long enough.....and hence the title of this post.Since it's been so long and i think 2006 has really been a bumper harvest for 05S01 in many areas,I'l just summarise the whole of this year here....so be prepared for a LONG post =P
First our achievements and significant stuff we did:
1)1st in 12x100 males relay, although unrecognised by the stinking lot of sore losers behind us
2)Qualifying for Dragonboat finals....although we got nothing at the finals....but it was still fun to splash water at each other on the boat =P
3)1st in inter-CG volleyball,recognised X)
4)Went hunting down teachers for Teacher's Day,clogging the exits of the staff room wishing every teacher we saw "Happy Teacher's Day".Most significantly we went to Miss Tan's class to deliver a lovely photo album....which dropped to the ground in less than 5 minutes after we handed it to her-_-'
5)Miss Tan won the Stomp's Hottest Female Teacher award(after a gay voting battle between 3 schools....can't remember what the other 2 schools were....who cares....they're losers now anw=P)
Secondly,the things that HAVE changed:
1)We got our orange class jersey after one year of planning
2)We are definitely more united as a class
3)T4 was established and started making funny videos
4)SOME PEOPLE expanded their gaying business to being despo for girls
5)A well-known scandal developed
6)We're no longer top science class for GP as compared to common test(cos of some lame moderation that let other classes overtake us....we were orginially AT THE TOP!)
7)I realised the existence of this blog 0_0
Lastly,things that HAVE NOT changed:
1)Wee Meng is still the academic superpower(not that i have anything against it=) )
2)People like me still don't pay funds promptly
3)Physics lesson is still FFA and slack
4)Bio still pawns ourballs heads
5)Tze Keong and Weitian are still together(OOOPS!!!!)....haha not all things that have not changed have to change right? Some things like this are just nice the way they are=)
Ok,so that's bout it!Missed out some things?yea i bet i did....but i'm not gonna be the one to add these things....cos its OUR class blog and not MY blog so YOU have to contribute!
Abit on today....saw Miss Tan calling a parent just suddenly after assembly and those who saw were like WTF...well...classic example of "Adults always think they know what's best".It's really a confusing and stressful time for us all now and "All you have to do is to decide what to do with the time that is given to you"(sounds familiar?lol); hence people should be deciding what to do with their own time.Yea i guess you can tell my stand on the situation.
Ok not sure if i somehow managed to revive this....felt like i failed to do so...haha nvm cos i'm sure YOU will be doing a better job than me in the next post=)

PEACE TO EARTH, GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN
i extracted this from the mountainwing.... well.. they send me mail everyday... i thot this is a nice story dat i can share wif every single one of u..... esp when the x mas season is here...
Pa and The Rifle
================
Pa never had much compassion for the lazy or those whosquandered their means and then never had enough for thenecessities. But for those who were genuinely in need, hisheart was as big as all outdoors. It was from him that Ilearned the greatest joy in life comes from giving, not from receiving.
It was Christmas Eve 1881. I was fifteen years old and feelinglike the world had caved in on me because there just hadn't beenenough money to buy me the rifle that I'd wanted for Christmas. We did the chores early that night for some reason. I justfigured Pa wanted a little extra time so we could read in theBible.
After supper was over I took my boots off and stretched out infront of the fireplace and waited for Pa to get down the oldBible. I was still feeling sorry for myself and, to be honest,I wasn't in much of a mood to read Scriptures. But Pa didn'tget the Bible, instead he bundled up again and went outside.I couldn't figure it out because we had already done all thechores. I didn't worry about it long though, I was too busywallowing in self-pity.
Soon Pa came back in. It was a cold clear night out and therewas ice in his beard. "Come on, Matt," he said. "Bundle upgood, it's cold out tonight." I was really upset then. Not onlywasn't I getting the rifle for Christmas, now Pa was dragging meout in the cold, and for no earthly reason that I could see. We'd already done all the chores, and I couldn't think of anythingelse that needed doing, especially not on a night like this.
But I knew Pa was not very patient at one dragging one's feetwhen he'd told them to do something, so I got up and put myboots back on and got my cap, coat, and mittens. Ma gave me amysterious smile as I opened the door to leave the house.Something was up, but I didn't know what.
Outside, I became even more dismayed. There in front of thehouse was the work team, already hitched to the big sled.Whatever it was we were going to do wasn't going to be a short, quick, little job. I could tell. We never hitched up this sledunless we were going to haul a big load.
Pa was already up on the seat, reins in hand. I reluctantlyclimbed up beside him. The cold was already biting at me.I wasn't happy. When I was on, Pa pulled the sled around thehouse and stopped in front of the woodshed. He got off and Ifollowed. "I think we'll put on the high sideboards," he said."Here, help me." The high sideboards! It had been a bigger jobthan I wanted to do with just the low sideboards on, butwhatever it was we were going to do would be a lot bigger withthe high sideboards on.
After we had exchanged the sideboards, Pa went into the woodshedand came out with an armload of wood---the wood I'd spent allsummer hauling down from the mountain, and then all Fall sawinginto blocks and splitting. What was he doing? Finally I saidsomething. "Pa," I asked, "what are you doing?" You been by theWidow Jensen's lately?" he asked. The Widow Jensen lived abouttwo miles down the road. Her husband had died a year or sobefore and left her with three children, the oldest being eight.Sure, I'd been by, but so what? "Yeah," I said, "Why?" "I rodeby just today," Pa said. "Little Jakey was out digging aroundin the woodpile trying to find a few chips. They're out ofwood, Matt."
That was all he said and then he turned and went back into thewoodshed for another armload of wood. I followed him. Weloaded the sled so high that I began to wonder if the horseswould be able to pull it. Finally, Pa called a halt to ourloading, then we went to the smoke house and Pa took down a bigham and a side of bacon. He handed them to me and told me toput them in the sled and wait.
When he returned he was carrying a sack of flour over his rightshoulder and a smaller sack of something in his left hand."What's in the little sack?" I asked. "Shoes. They're out ofshoes. Little Jakey just had gunny sacks wrapped around hisfeet when he was out in the woodpile this morning. I got thechildren a little candy too. It just wouldn't be Christmaswithout a little candy."
We rode the two miles to Widow Jensen's pretty much in silence.I tried to think through what Pa was doing. We didn't have muchby worldly standards. Of course, we did have a big woodpile, though most of what was left now was still in the form of logsthat I would have to saw into blocks and split before we coulduse it. We also had meat and flour, so we could spare that, butI knew we didn't have any money, so why was Pa buying them shoesand candy?
Really, why was he doing any of this? Widow Jensen had closerneighbors than us; it shouldn't have been our concern. We camein from the blind side of the Jensen house and unloaded the woodas quietly as possible, then we took the meat and flour andshoes to the door. We knocked. The door opened a crack and atimid voice said, "Who is it?" "Lucas Miles, Ma'am, and my son,Matt. Could we come in for a bit?"
Widow Jensen opened the door and let us in. She had a blanketwrapped around her shoulders. The children were wrapped inanother and were sitting in front of the fireplace by a verysmall fire that hardly gave off any heat at all. Widow Jensenfumbled with a match and finally lit the lamp. "We brought youa few things, Ma'am," Pa said and set down the sack of flour. Iput the meat on the table. Then Pa handed her the sack that hadthe shoes in it.
She opened it hesitantly and took the shoes out one pair at atime. There was a pair for her and one for each of thechildren---sturdy shoes, the best, shoes that would last. Iwatched her carefully. She bit her lower lip to keep it fromtrembling and then tears filled her eyes and started runningdown her cheeks. She looked up at Pa like she wanted to saysomething, but it wouldn't come out.
"We brought a load of wood too, Ma'am," Pa said. He turned tome and said, "Matt, go bring in enough to last awhile. Let'sget that fire up to size and heat this place up." I wasn't thesame person when I went back out to bring in the wood. I had abig lump in my throat and as much as I hate to admit it, therewere tears in my eyes too.
In my mind I kept seeing those three kids huddled around thefireplace and their mother standing there with tears runningdown her cheeks with so much gratitude in her heart that shecouldn't speak. My heart swelled within me and a joy that I'dnever known before, filled my soul. I had given at Christmasmany times before, but never when it had made so much difference.I could see we were literally saving the lives of these people.
I soon had the fire blazing and everyone's spirits soared. The kids started giggling when Pa handed them each a piece of candyand Widow Jensen looked on with a smile that probably hadn'tcrossed her face for a long time. She finally turned to us."God bless you," she said. "I know the Lord has sent you.The children and I have been praying that he would send one of hisangels to spare us."
In spite of myself, the lump returned to my throat and the tearswelled up in my eyes again. I'd never thought of Pa in thoseexact terms before, but after Widow Jensen mentioned it I couldsee that it was probably true. I was sure that a better manthan Pa had never walked the earth. I started remembering allthe times he had gone out of his way for Ma and me, and manyothers. The list seemed endless as I thought on it.
Pa insisted that everyone try on the shoes before we left.I was amazed when they all fit and I wondered how he had knownwhat sizes to get. Then I guessed that if he was on an errandfor the Lord that the Lord would make sure he got the right sizes.
Tears were running down Widow Jensen's face again when we stoodup to leave. Pa took each of the kids in his big arms and gavethem a hug. They clung to him and didn't want us to go.I could see that they missed their Pa, and I was glad that Istill had mine.
At the door Pa turned to Widow Jensen and said, "The Mrs.wanted me to invite you and the children over for Christmasdinner tomorrow. The turkey will be more than the three of uscan eat, and a man can get cantankerous if he has to eat turkeyfor too many meals. We'll be by to get you about eleven. It'llbe nice to have some little ones around again. Matt, here, hasn't been little for quite a spell." I was the youngest. My two brothers and two sisters had all married and had moved away.Widow Jensen nodded and said, "Thank you, Brother Miles.I don't have to say, "'May the Lord bless you,' I know for certainthat He will."
Out on the sled I felt a warmth that came from deep within and Ididn't even notice the cold. When we had gone a ways, Pa turnedto me and said, "Matt, I want you to know something. Your maand me have been tucking a little money away here and there allyear so we could buy that rifle for you, but we didn't havequite enough.
Then yesterday a man who owed me a little money from years backcame by to make things square. Your ma and me were realexcited, thinking that now we could get you that rifle, and Istarted into town this morning to do just that. But on the wayI saw little Jakey out scratching in the woodpile with his feetwrapped in those gunny sacks and I knew what I had to do.Son, I spent the money for shoes and a little candy for thosechildren. I hope you understand."
I understood, and my eyes became wet with tears again.I understood very well, and I was so glad Pa had done it.Now the rifle seemed very low on my list of priorities. Pa hadgiven me a lot more. He had given me the look on Widow Jensen'sface and the radiant smiles of her three children.
For the rest of my life, Whenever I saw any of the Jensen's, orsplit a block of wood, I remembered, and remembering broughtback that same joy I felt riding home beside Pa that night.Pa had given me much more than a rifle that night, he had givenme the best Christmas of my life.

Let us have a moment of silence... and pray for their safe journey...
Now, as the time of departure nears, let us wish the two young brave, kind, helpful souls known as Eric Tan Jia Hao and Eugene Kheng Wei Long, who are leaving their warm, cozzy and familiar home known as Singapore on this Thursday, 17th November, to travel to Kaolak, Thailand to help those less fortunate, those who are caught within the onslaught of the tsunami that occured almost a year ago (in a magnificent project known to us as Overseas Community Involvement Programme), a heartfelt Bon Voyage.
Wish they do not catch avian flu from Thailand and bring it back to Singapore. :P
Just kidding.
Remember to get us some sovernirs!! :D
Just kidding again.
Come back in one piece for the chalet, okay? LOL.

Jus finish reading the novel dat I borrowed frm the library today..
Nice book.. it depicts the relationship between me and him.. maybe the author actually spy on us?
My face was wet most of the time... maybe raining in my room?
Jus becuz of one betrayal, I have lost faith and trust in him.. maybe its like wad its written, we r not mature enough to handle a relationship..
Maybe we'll be alright after some time.. maybe onli after some separation.. I dunno.. dun wish no tink bout it..
He's the sweetest guy ever.. serious..
Maybe we can onli mke do wif wad we hav now and not lose anymore..
No comment pls.. it’ll onli mke u puke blood and feel helpless..
The fact is u all r not helpless at all..
it's I'm hopeless...
If he ever gonna see this entry(veri unlikely unless the spy in our class tell him... u noe hu u r), I wanna let him noe dat

This is the 3rd time I type this blog...
I HATE MY COM! STOP CRUSHING!
While I was on my way home, I saw this guy chewing fishbal... remind me of something...
Nono... not someone choked while eating the fishball...
This’ll be a pretty long blog... so, wanna hear???
Heck u... I wanna say...
29th May 2005
*whenever there a food fair, my parents and I’ll nv miss it... and u can always find dis stall selling fish products... Big tasty fresh fishballs, both cooked and uncooked... daddy loves it*
well, some of u may noe dat daddy was veri ill… the doc discharged him as his condition was pretty stable... “stable”... but, he was not allowed to leave the hse, except to the hospital for check up... so, instead of being jailed in the hospital, he was being jailed at home...
well... expo was having food fair again... daddy knew I was going out on this faithful day... so he asked me his I could mke a trip to expo and get him some fishball... of coz I agreed... how could I reject him...
left to meet dada at 10.30am... went out and onli arrived expo at 9plus pm... was shopping and eating wif da... okie... entered expo... searching high and low for that fishball stall... couldn’t find it... but da managed to find it in the end...
“ni hai you mai yu yuan ma? Na zong yi tong de...” i asked
“mai wan le,” the stall-holder replied.
-_-“ and guess wad, when I walked to the other end of the stall(it takes up the space of 3 normal stall), I saw buckets of fishball in a pool of ice...abash...
of coz in the end, I bought one bucket...
reach home at bout 11... daddy was aslp... but mum told me daddy cried earlier... y??? cuz he thot I forget to but that fishball...
daddy nv cried b4 b4 the operation... he was a tough guy... both mentally and physically... but his illness mkes him weak both mentally and physically... yet, he’s still a loving family man...
it mke me feel extrememly guilty... b4 he was discharged, I didn’t visit him everyday as I need to work in kumon... traveling after sch to work as well as SGH wore me out... totally...but I noe I still mke an effort to visit him as often as possible... but after that vamp interferes wif my life, my energy exhaust at a faster rate... I didn’t mke an effort to rush down to spend time wif him anymore...
when he was discharged, I didn’t mke an effort to stay home accompany him as much as possible...
worst still, when he was readmitted to hosp, I didn’t mke an effort to go down everyday and even I do, I didn’t mke an effort to go down b4 dinner time so as to feed him(he was too weak to even hold the spoon)
3 weeks later, on his birthday, he was gone... every single family member was ard b4 he left everyone of us...
I actuallie did mke an effort to arrive b4 5, the normal visiting hr... but on my way mum asked me go home and pray as she forgot(earlier at bout 2 dad was admitted into icu again) I took the stupid 12 which was stuck in the stupid traffic jam, making me arrived onli at 7pm...
B4 I reach, his condition became critical... mum rushed to jurong to look for the priest to pray for dad...
Of coz, I was reprimanded by everyone for being so late... (no one listen to my explanation)
When I entered the icu, he was relying on the machine to breathe.... he was struggling... he was trying to force himself to open his eyes when he noe I arrived...
my aunt and uncle was praying, chanting for him...
all I can say is,” daddy, wake up... “
the doc mke us call mum back...
but jus when mum arrived, the doc mke everyone leave the room... so in the end, mum didn’t get to see him for the last time...
I prayed to god,” dun take him away… he did so much for everyone of us and I haven even repay him…”
soon, his lung failed, rely totally on the machine to breathe... cpr was no use... I broke down... cuz I knew it was over…
the doctors gav up saving him...
his heart finally stop at 8.08pm...
everyone, even my aunt hu jus gt back frm texas, was there...
everyone cried
my godma said daddy was brave... he waited for everyone b4 he leaves...
yes... daddy u r brave... u sacrifice for the whole family... u r the one hu gav up ur edu and worked to support aunts and little uncle edu... u r the one hu risk ur life working at offshore island so as to giv me a better life...
and u left b4 we could repay u....
I was forced to pick up myself immediately for the preparation of the funeral... mum was too lost and devastated to do anything...
Plus, instead of being choked by fishball, the hosp bill choked up to $50,000(phew, luckily there subsidies and could be deducted from medisave)
For those hu helped me out for the funeral (namely my uncles and aunts), thank you...
For those hu came for the funeral, I thank you too...
Ppl... cherish everyone ard u... u’ll nv realise how impt they might be to u... knowing it after losing them’ll be too late ya?
Ps: tian, thanks for sharing ur story wif me too to comfort me.... thanks for crying wif me too(recall the call at void deck & mac)
Well... wanna noe more bout wad happened, u can go my blog if u happened to noe it ever exist... but, I dun blog anymore after daddy passed away…cuz I dun wan that vamp to see...
